This latest addition compliments the Northern's already renowned lounge bar, function suite, dining room and accommodation facilities. Created by Nicoll Russell Studios, Hudsons contains a perfect blend of both modern and traditional influences. With a solid walnut floor and panelling, the classic design emminates warmth.

A magnificent copper-topped walnut panelled bar, coupled with innovative lighting, and comfortable leather under-lit seating all add to the relaxing and welcoming ambience.

The Northern Hotel is a free house offering an extensive drinks menu of beers, spirits and wines from a number of breweries and wine merchants. We'll also be screening all major sporting events from Sky Sports and Setanta.

Manager Susan Coutts commented: " We hope it will be a compliment to the other bars in the town. Somewhere completely different that adds to the variety of options already available in our city, it's also somewhere for our residents and other visitors to enjoy a drink or two before or after they've had a meal."

Over a course of six weeks local tradesmen have transformed the empty wing of the hotel into a unique new watering hole for Brechin, for those over 21.

Susan continued:
"We'd like to give a big thanks to all the tradesmen and workmen involved in the creation of Hudson's they have done an outstanding job of realising the design which was inspired by the Hudson Hotel in New York, hence the name!

We're delighted to say we shall be opening on Saturday, May 5 at 11am and look forward to seeing you there."
